The Senior Room is a Human-Centered Design project created by Sayonara Bittencourt in partnership with ALONE and Friends of The Elderly, two charities dedicated to the well-being and tackling loneliness amongst older people in Ireland. It was developed as a Final Year Project at the Technological University, Dublin - Blanchardstown Campus. This project aims on bringing awareness about our elderlies in Ireland, giving them a voice to tell their stories and how the charities have contributed to their well being. The project has received two awards: 1) Best Project of The Year at Kaleidoscope 2019 event hosted by TU Dublin - Blanchardstown Campus. 2) Best Project at the TU Dublin - Media Research Symposium 2019.

ALONE and Friends of The Elderly are two Irish charities dedicated to improving the lives of our elderlies. They offer services such as befriending volunteering, friendly calls, events (either weekly or seasonal) and many others.
